For this shoot we collaborated with the online beauty one stop shop Glow Organic and Antonia from cruelty and toxic free beauty blog The Hunt to bring you a glamorous makeup look that’s perfect for all your Christmas get togethers! The shoot was photographed by the amazing Kelsie Skully.
Glow Organic is a curated online marketplace of the latest and greatest in organic, natural and green beauty. Founder Mel scours the globe for brands that are dedicated to making a difference to the environment, care about the health of their customers and are against animal testing. She is passionate about proving that choosing to use more conscious beauty products doesn’t mean compromising on quality or performance – in fact, she’s found it’s quite the opposite as they perform exactly the same as mainstream brands if not better.
Mel started out by working as a make-up artist. For a variety of different reasons, including issues with cystic acne, she became really interested in the ingredients that went into the products she had been using. That’s when she decided to switch things up completely to natural and organic alternatives and hasn’t looked back since!
The Hunt has a personal dedication to featuring stylish & ethical beauty products that actually work. Born out of a frustration with the lack of role models in the bloggersphere that were relatable to her style and ethos, the Hunt’s founder, Antonia Morgan, decided that if she wanted to see it, she had to be it!
She is passionate about The Hunt being an ‘anti-blog’ and wants to remain authentic to her individual style in celebrating vintage and secondhand clothing and conscious cosmetics. When reading her blog you’re not going to see the latest trends from high street stores, but instead will be inspired to consider small changes. Whether you’re already all in or just stopping by, there’s a place for you there.
Head turning Beauty Look For Your Christmas Party
To achieve the look, Mel first applied Hynt Beauty Concealer all over Antonia’s skin. This this is a very full coverage concealer which is great for covering blemishes, dark circles and pigmentation. It is also multi purpose and can double up as a foundation. Layer up depending on the coverage you want – Antonia has beautiful skin so she just applied a very sheer layer all over, buffing it into the skin and blending it down the neck.
She then moved onto the eyes. Mel chose a ZAO Makeup eyeshadow in a gorgeous bright blue that has a hint of purple tones. Antonia’s signature bold eyes are a fab statement for any party, and really make the eyes pop, adding a fashion forward flair to any outfit. To create the strong colour Mel used a damp brush and smoothed the colour over the eyelid, creating a subtle wing to the outer corner.
We wanted the full focus to be on the eyes, which look incredible with Antonia’s incredible vintage dress and amazing electric blue trousers, so we decided to keep everything else very minimal.
For the lips, she chose a soft, light pink with a blueish undertone – Nui Cosmetics Lipstick in shade ‘Moana’. This complements the eyes perfectly, without drawing attention away from the eye makeup. She then added a few coats of Nui Cosmetics Mascara for volume and lift and a touch of a Hynt Beauty cool toned blush to bring everything together.

Antonia is a strong believer in slow and ethical fashion. Her statement blue velvet dress is an incredible charity shop find – showing that you really can find the most beautiful items second hand – and this dress is perfect for an evening occasion when you want an outfit with a bit of wow factor.
The second outfit is more day time party orientated. Her burgundy leotard from American Apparel contrasts with the electric blue Beyond Retro trousers perfectly. This, combined with her colour pop eyes, makes for a bold, head turning look that has more of a smart/casual feel about it.
Also how good do these earrings look with the her eye makeup?
So there you have it, one fashion forward beauty look that can be dressed up or down created entirely with conscious beauty products – busting the eco myths once and for all!
